Our Adopt-a-Bike program has moved to a year round program which makes us all happy. Our goal for 2023 was to give over 5,000 bikes away and we met that goal. Bikes in this program go to kids as well as adults. To keep the program running we need donations. 

 

We gladly take bicycles in any condition, brand, new or well used. What we need is cash donations to meet the hard costs we incur with keeping this program going. We have four warehouses throughout the metropolitan area to keep bike donations close at hand for volunteers. The use of the warehouses have been gifted to us to use for bike storage. We still have hard costs such as transporting the bikes from one area to another and getting them to the event giveaways. We are able to recycle many of the parts needed for repairs but we do have to replace the old with new at times. Much of our cleaning materials have been reclaimed from METRO and donated to us. As you can see, we have been diligent in keeping our costs down as much as possible but there are still costs involved. You can help! Donations of any amount is gladly accepted and appreciated.

 

Donations can be made in person or mail at our Community Bike Shop (135 NE 3rd Ave. Hillsboro) or online using the Donate button.

 

Bikes can be dropped off at the Community Bike Shop during open hours of 10-5pm Monday through Saturday and noon to 4pm on Sunday. 

 

This holiday season, you  can also make a donation in remembrance of someone who has passed but had a love of cycling.                                    On the donation form, add their name and we'll add it to our special Christmas tree.
